Dirk is a ceramic guinea fowl created as a test tile for Mayco Stroke and Coat Glazes. Its surface features a dynamic, random pattern of primary colors. This experiment was conducted on a non-white clay body, where such glazes often lose vibrancy. However, the results were striking—despite the darker clay, the colors remained just as bold and brilliant as they would on white clay. Dirk stands as both a functional test piece and a visually engaging work of art.
